Featuring Cemetery Director Graham Wright III (U.S. Navy, Ret.), this short film tells the story of Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Situated in San Diego County on the Fort Rosecrans Military reservation, many of the Cemetery’s burials date to the early years of the California Territory. Notable interred veterans include Native Sons and Daughters of the Golden West from the Battle of San Pasqual, 62 sailors in a boiler explosion aboard the USS Bennington, and Navy SEALs killed in the line of duty. Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery has 101,079 burials. Veteran Documentary Corps shot this short films in late April 2019 as part of our partnership with the National Cemetery Administration, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
